As a professional real estate investor, COO of 7 investment related companies, podcast co-host of 2 daily top-rated shows, partner, mom, and friend… even I surprise myself that I can make the time to work on a book and this project.

But the fact is, helping others is what I really want to do.

What is JillDeWit.com really about?

In June 2016, I reconnected with an old friend who now runs a 250+ employee business in the south. As we chatted, we realized that as female professionals, we were experiencing some of the same obstacles when dealing with advancing in the workforce or running a business.

She shared with me that she had joined a group of other female professionals and they had helped her immensely in dealing with some of her company situations, as well as operating in the business world. After an unfruitful attempt to find a similar group for myself, I decided to create one.

And here it is.

Women professionals/business owners face unique challenges – especially when dealing in male dominated fields. If we are assertive we can be labeled as ruthless or pushy, and if we are passive we might be looked at as a pushover. We react, communicate, and lead differently than men.

And that is a great thing. (Let’s celebrate it!)

What are my plans?
